“I have been coming to Thirsk Clock for about 3 years. The staff have helped me find a job and helped me sort out college”

“Being part of Thirsk Clock has made Christmas much easier for me. I felt that I belonged somewhere”

“I have been coming to Thirsk Clock for about three years, I have had support with housing issues, benefits, funding and transport. Thirsk Clock have provided me with food when I did not have any money to buy it. I have used the facilities available like the iron and the ironing board to iron my clothes for work, the internet and to attend support meetings. I have had support with filling in application forms, and guidance for when things have gone wrong for me.”

Recently Thirsk Clock staff have helped me look for full employment with accommodation, which is my dream come true. I have been for an interview and am waiting for a reply. This is just another stepping stone for me, but I have the confidence to stand on my own two feet”

“When I was at school I used to come to Thirsk Clock as part of my school week. We did fun things such as cooking and going for walks”

“I have enjoyed the summer activities that Thirsk Clock have subsidised, it has given the young people a chance to engage in joint activities and work together as a team. The five a side football tournament always marks the end of the summer activities and we look forward to this event. It is a good opportunity for young people and adults to come together and be involved in community activities”

“Thirsk Clock has helped me so much since I moved here. They have given me a glass table for my flat.”

“I have been coming to Thirsk Clock for four years. Thirsk Clock has a variety of activities such as pool, computers, Sky and DJ decks. We’re going to get a X-box and Nintendo Wii soon. Also they do a number of fun trips and activities my favourite is paint balling. I have also taken part in helping with fund raising for Thirsk Clock. I did this by being part of the youth management committee. The youth management committee plays an important role as often help them when it comes to raising funds”
