Thirsk Clock was established out of a need to provide a place for young people to meet and gain support. The original “project” took a six year lease on former shop premises in the market square and began its pilot work with young people. In a very short time it has become a valuable resource to the young people and the wider population of Thirsk. The Overall aims of Thirsk Clock are to: 1. Provide a safe place for young people from Thirsk and the surrounding villages 2. Facilitate social inclusion for all young people in the Thirsk district 3. Provide opportunities for skills development of the wider community of Thirsk and surrounding villages 4. Encourage all users of Thirsk Clock in personal, moral spiritual, physical and emotional development |
