Trustee Vacancies

It’s just over a year since the Trustees of The Clock and Thirsk Community Care started working together to identify the best way of providing services for local people. In Spring 2019 it was agreed by both Boards to work towards forming one charity.

There has been a lot of work undertaken to create one charity including Business Planning and branding. Abigail Homer, who has been the CEO of The Clock since it started in 2003 is also the CEO of Thirsk Community Care. By working together, the charities are sharing a very strong leadership team of Suzy Flintoff, Laura Harris and Andy Butcher.

The Boards of Trustees have completed a skills audit in order to identify gaps in skills and knowledge. We have vacancies for two new Trustees: one with expertise in marketing and one with expertise in Health and Safety.

If you're looking for an inspiring, challenging governance role in a local charity then we would welcome your application. We have two vacancies, one of which is for a Trustee to lead on marketing activities.

You will participate in the work of the Board in developing and monitoring the strategic direction and good management.

You will lead the Trustees and staff on ensuring that all aspects of the charities are delivered in the safest way and meet all Health and safety requirements.

Trustees are expected to attend one meeting per month.

If you would like more information about the roles or to send you CV please contact Jon Woolmore (Chair of Thirsk Community Care) By 2pm on 2nd October 2019.
